It’s the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables!
Did you know that 2021 is the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables?Celebrate it by introducing more fruits and vegetables to your family’s diet and reducing food waste by buying what is needed and utilizing what’s in your fridge IYFV 2021 is aimed at raising awareness about the important role of fruits and vegetables in human nutrition, food security, and health — with an appeal to improve healthy and sustainable food production through innovation and technology and to reduce food loss and waste. The four objectives of the 2021 IYFV are: Raising awareness of and directing policy attention to the nutrition and health benefits of fruits and vegetables consumption. Promoting diversified, balanced, and healthy diets and lifestyles through fruit and vegetable consumption. Reducing losses and waste in fruits and vegetables food systems. Sharing best practices on promotion and consumption, improved sustainability, supply chains and capacity strengthening. As a Canadian company we try our best to align with these goals, by using #onlyfruits and #veggies and reducing our waste as much as we can, for example using the skin of the apple instead of throwing it away, it’s filled with nutrients and flavour. And since our Canadian apples are #organic it’s safe to consume. What do you do to eat more healthy fruits and veggies at home? Let’s create a space where we support each other in maintaining a healthier lifestyle #unitednations#InternationalYearofFruitsandVegetables#SpeakUp4FruitVeg#IYFV2021#halfyourplate#fruitsandveggies#lightandhealthy#eatyourcolors#eatyourselfhealthy#eatyourfruits#eatyourveggies#foodie#foodwaste#producelastslonger#knowyourfood#womenownedbusinesses#womenentrepreneurs#smallbusiness#supportlocalproduce#localproduce
